Tree Cabling and Bracing Services

tree cablingThe mechanical strength and structure of a tree is crucial to its survival. In many situations, a tree requires the additional support of cabling and bracing. This may happen due to weak branch union, storm damage, wind damage, improper young tree pruning techniques, or a number of other reasons.

Cabling and bracing are the two most common forms of structural support.  It generally consists of installing either metal or synthetic hardware permanently into a tree to provide support to otherwise weak branch unions.  In many cases, this will prolong a safe useful life of a tree.  Of course, prior to installing any cable or bracing systems it is of great importance to have an ISA Certified Arborist inspect your tree in order to determine whether the tree’s structural support is a candidate for support systems or if the tree’s structural soundness is too weak. It is not only important to consult with an ISA Certified Arborist who understands cabling and bracing, the installation thereof, but also its of vital importance to work with a company that has extensive experience in cabling and bracing.  Here at K.C. Arborist we follow the ANSI-A300 Part 3 Standards for Tree Support Systems: Cabling, Bracing and Gying.  This insures the proper safety procedures are being following for all trees that we perform cabling and bracing within the Kansas City Metro Area.

Please remember: If support systems are installed incorrectly, it not only weakens an already compromised tree, but also gives the property owner a false sense of security that can lead to long-term failure and liability risks.  Please give proper concern and priority to such a decision.  Call our office today for a consultation regarding your tree cabling and bracing!
